Pastoral Care General Information
A shepherding plan is in place which involves our elders - our spiritual leaders within the church. An elder or elders will be assigned to an individual(s) to meet with and guide for a specific amount of time through each situation.
Christ-centered 12-step recovery for hurts, habits and hang-ups.
Mission: To provide safe, weekly, confidential meetings all year long to promote worship, teaching, fellowship, structured sharing and the opportunity to work through Christ-centered, biblically-based steps of recovery alongside others in a confidential group setting.
Meeting: Every Wednesday evening 7-9 P.M. in the Midtown auditorium
Step Studies: A separate, agreed-upon, weekly group meeting where participants do the actual work of the specific recovery steps by going through the four recovery booklets.
The caring ministry at Perimeter is starting its 2007 Stephen Ministry training class. It will start on Thursday evening, June 7th through August 9th at 7pm in the Uptown Auditorium. As a Stephen Minister, you have an opportunity to serve those who are going through a difficult time in their life. Do you have a heart of mercy, encouragement, faith or teaching? Spiritual gifts are gifts to give away. God gives them to us and we use them to serve others. Through one-to-one confidential caring relationships, those going through a difficult time receive the love and care they need. Consider becoming a STEPHEN MINISTER by joining our team and impacting someone's life. Please call Jenny (770) 447-9642 or Alice (770) 813-9373, for an application and additional information.
Examples include:
· Job crisis
· Marital trials, separation, divorce
· Life stresses
· Spiritual situations
· Grief
"So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." Colossians 3:12

In-line with our biblical responsibility to care for widows, we coordinate with our deaconate and assign one deacon to each widow. A luncheon, every other month, allows for fellowship and discussion time. Currently, the widows are ministering to Tanzania as a group while praying for and addressing the needs of each other and Perimeter.
